I am 6'4" 235 lbs with really flat feet. I got these shoes and let me tell you they are amazing. Unlike the older model beast, these are lightweight. They are a heavier shoe but if you are a big guy who cares about a couple of ounces. They are flexible I was able to run with them immediately on the treadmill. I wear these with orthotics and they fit well. I was wearing saucony cs stability and hurricanes and these make those shoes obsolete. The only negative is the price...once you have them on your feet you won't care about that.

Brooks Beast is a Beast of a shoe. They was recommended to me by my physiotherapist for my Plantar fasciitis, so I could continuing walking and it worked . It is by far the best shoe I have ever had, better than asics kayano that I had previously.I would whole heartly recommend these shoes, so impressed was I, that I have bought another two pairs.

I have been trying to find a good cushiony shoe with stability and with good support. I ordered this 2EE. Normal would have done fine. These are very comfortable multi-purpose shoes. Right out of the box I did not feel that I would need my custom insoles. I eventually did use them. If you are looking for comfort and like Brooks with the new DNA shock system them these are for you. They are intended for over pronators but as I am neutral they still do a good job. The stock insole is the best I ever saw. Plenty of comfort. Why it only got 4 stars is because of the way the tongue liner bunches and folds and sometimes you can feel it but mostly you forget about it. Still only 4 stars. I would order again but I have some Nike vomero 5's coming along with the Brooks Trance 9 and 10 on their way. The 10 won't be available until Jan 12 but have preordered a pair. Also will be evaluating the New Balance 1226. I just sent back 2 pairs of the NB 1906- nothing special for the exorbitant price tag. See my reviews and follow ups on the other shoes coming soon. Yes I would buy the Beast again but not the 2EE just D. Note the women's version is called the Ariel.
