Shrunken shoe size no longer fits!!

For some reason beyond my grasp, Nike has apparently made all of their newer shoes narrower than their earlier versions. This makes it difficult for previous Nike fans to order a newer shoe in an appropriate size. A slightly wider shoe (2E instead of D)-(from another seller, since I didn't see a wider version on Amazon) fit perfectly and was very comfortable. Long time Nike fans would probably be better served by ordering a slightly wider shoe than they previously liked when they order a newer model. Incidentally, although "free returns" were advertised when I ordered, the actual provider tried to impose a substantial RESTOCK (RIPOFF) fee for my return, in addition to requiring me to pay the postage for the return.

My 5th pair

This is my fifth pair of structure running shoes. They are great for my stride as I over pronate. They have the interior support from the extra cushioning that I need na dI can get a few hundred miles out of them over more than 6 months.

Good, comfy shoe for walking/jogging

I've just started wearing this shoe after not being able to get the Grid Cohesion 4 in my size any more. I feel this shoe is a little firmer in cushioning and a little more restrictive in the forefoot than the 4, and overall not quite as comfortable. The cohesion 4's make me feel like i can fly (evidently, i can't!!). These are not quite the same, but still a decent shoe. Perhaps not quite as responsive as the 4's?

Disappointed

I bought these as an upgrade to my grid cohesion 3's since they've been discontinued and while these are comfortable they wear out entirely too fast. I've only put 12 miles of running into these and the wear on the heel is pretty evident already. I'm 5'8 and 155 pounds so I'm not really a heavy guy. These sneakers should not be wearing out this fast. You get what you pay for in the case of these sneakers.

Awesome replacement for my Cohesion 3's!

My Cohesion 3's were looking pretty ratty and it was time for them to be reassigned to garden duty. I poked around looking for Cohesion 3's but they are tough to find, so I took a bit of a gamble on the Cohesion 5. I couldn't be happier! The fit is the same and I swear these are a little lighter.

Look to compete in the Seniors games and I needed this for the Triple Jump and as a backup for my Long Jumps. This is a solid shoe, appears to be well built and it is attractive to wear.

pretty good shoe ...

i bought two pair for my two boys (10 and 11) and these were the least expensive ones i found - i wasn't trying to buy shoes $50 and more for kids who were definitely going to either outgrow them or destroy them before the next season. the boys say that they fit great and love using them. they even came with the spikes and the key (i didn't realize that they would so - BONUS!) so i didn't have to go out and get them.when compared to a standard shoe, these run a bit smaller - not much, but enough that the boys noticed when they tried on shoes at the local sporting goods store (they tried on nike and i bought puma - fit the absolute same), so i would try to size the shoes locally before buying online.

Awesome Shoe

First off, I am overweight at 220 lbs, low arch, and over pronator. I started with a couch to 5k program about 6 months ago and am now jogging 20+ miles a week training for my first half marathon. When I started the C25K Program I was wearing the Brooks Beast. While I liked this shoe as it prevented shin splint problems I had been plagued with in the past, it still seemed heavy and too stiff. I just switched to the Mizuno Wave Nirvana 7 and can say it is a huge improvement over the Brooks Beast. This shoe feels light yet still has plenty of stability. Highly recommended!

Glad to be back in a Wave Nirvana...

I have really flat feet and overpronate. I've always needed to buy more high end shoes to help stabilize my feet. I've had 2 sets of Mizunos in the past to help support my awful feet, and they worked great... but pretty much would last about a year to a year and a half before I needed to replace them. I also am using Powerstep Pinnacle inserts to help force an arch in my feet.My last set of shoes were Brooks Beasts and they were decent... but wore down more quickly than the Mizunos, even with the Powersteps inserted. Eventually my feet started to become numb during a run, and my ankles would ache and hurt in the morning. I decided it was time to switch back to the Mizunos.I ran once in these and they feel great. My old set of Nirvana 4s were heavier and softer, so this is an exciting new shoe that's lighter (even with a Powerstep Pinnacle MAxx inserted) and seem to support me a lot better.If you're an overpronator, these are awesome. I would have ranked it 5 stars if I wouldn't need the Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx inserts... but my feet are almost defective, so I need them.Great shoe.

Decent Shoe

Being very flat-footed, I find it hard to locate a good pair of shoes that offer enough arch support and are able to last a while. This shoe felt great for about the first 20 or so runs (2-4 mile each)then I noticed that the support began breaking down. Since then I have added another 10 -15 runs and it is still holding up, but just not as comfortable. I am 6'8" and my weight fluctuates between 205 - 215 lbs, so I wouldn't consider myself too be heavy. I wouldn't purchase another pair, but instead I will probably purchase another pair of New Balance or maybe experiment with another brand.

Not again!

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! At one time, Adidas created the barricade 5 and it was a serious shoe for serious players. Then they axed the barricade 5 and replaced it with a decent, but not as good, barricade 6. Now, once again, Adidas is doing away with a perfectly good shoe and replacing it with the sub-par barricade 7. I am an avid player that needs plenty of solid support. This shoe doesn't have it. It's better suited for a beginner/intermediate player. Bring back the barricade 5!

not as good as i wanted

they are not as heavy duty as i expected. the quality of the support around the heal and the foot itself. in other words the shoe does not have the support to keep your foot as stable. it allows your foot to move inside the shoe to much. these were recommended by a man here who used to have a shoe store. he said the 5 & 6 were very good. he also said the same thing about this shoe.

Asics Men Running Shoes

I have always bought Asics running shoes and I have always been satisfied. I am really satisfied this time as well as they are super comfortable, they look cool and they are relatively cheap as I've paid for them about $70. I would recommend this product and any Asics running shoes in general. I buy Nike and Adidas shoes as well as they are good brands but I think Asics is just more comfortable for running.

I am a part time runner, I am muscular heavy, so I don't run marathons, but I do my five miles or so, this shoe is good, not super great but it does the job. For the price you can't beat it and people like the color. There is a more expensive shoe with the same color and people confuse it with that one. Enjoy, but remember always order one size bigger.
