I own a pair of Asics Equation 2's and they are holding up quite well with approximately 350 miles on them. Since I am happy with running in the "2's" I decided to buy a pair of Equation 4's to replace them. So far I am quite disappointed with these shoes. After walking in them for a week (to break them in) I decided to go out for a short run. The run went well, but the day after my right ankle (which I broke quite a few years ago) was extremely sore. The midsoles in these shoes are hard as a rock and the gel pad in the heel was hardly noticeable. I am wearing them casually and have noticed some "give" in the midsoles. Hopefully they will break in at some point so I can run in them. In the meantime, I threw caution to the wind and purchased the Asics Nimbus 12's for 70 bucks. Money well spent. The cushioning in these shoes are awesome, but I will discuss that in a different review. In sum, watch out for the Equation 4's.

This shoe is amazing. Very comfortable. The gel works very well. Also the meshing keeps your feet dry all the time. I would definitely recommend this shoe.One piece of advice though, get half or one size above your actual shoe size. It'll be perfect then
